Updating JavaScript in an Existing App
Our entire development and design team specializes in updating, improving, and maintaining existing web applications. We've inherited existing JavaScript applications from on-staff developers, freelancers, and other agencies. Each time, we're able to build new functionality while keeping the code maintainable long-term.
Implementing JavaScript in a New App
When building a new web application, you'll have many choices in technologies to use for each portion of your app. Our team is here to guide you through this process, including helping you select a JavaScript framework. Depending on your long-term plans, integrations, and features of your app, we'll choose the right JavaScript option for you.
Which JavaScript Framework Should I Use?
There are dozens of JavaScript options out there, and no two are exactly the same. While multiple frameworks can accomplish the features you might be looking to add to your project, there may be a specific one that works best for your goals. Our team has worked in several, including these popular options:
- React.js : This is the newest of these three JavaScript options, open-sourced in 2013. React.js is not a full framework. Instead, it's a JavaScript library. This helps it play nice when used in small portions of older applications.
- Ember.js : This framework has been around since 2011, and has a few things in common with Ruby on Rails. Its "convention over configuration" structure helps it scale well for long-term apps with many developers. We're big fans of Ember.
- AngularJS : Maintained by Google, this open-source JavaScript framework is ideal for highly interactive and active web applications. Since 2009, companies like YouTube, PayPal, and Netflix have built their apps around Angular.
