Brian Middleton
He / Him / His
Sr. Frontend Developer
Brian is a Senior Frontend Developer focused on how web applications look, feel, and respond to the people using them.
He's been building for the web since the late '90s, when having a website meant writing HTML by hand and uploading files to a server over FTP. Since then, frontend development has expanded well beyond HTML, CSS, and a little JavaScript. Brian has adapted along with it while maintaining an appreciation for the fundamentals of the web.
Brian is especially interested in building interfaces that work well for real people in real-world conditions, including those who rely on assistive technology. He enjoys digging into legacy applications, untangling years of accumulated markup and finding the usability and accessibility issues that can otherwise go unnoticed.
Outside of work, Brian can be found at early morning skateboarding sessions, watching movies, and playing old arcade games.
... the computer is the most remarkable tool that we've ever come up with. It's the equivalent of a bicycle for our minds.
